Phil Jones On Threadless

These t-shirts are designed by Phil Jones and they are available at Threadless. His designs are real fun and light hearted, these are my two favorite ones, the Bunny Ears and Wake. Kurt Ketchum

My dear friend Kurt Ketchum just sent me images of his newest art work. These pieces are a great example of his unique style and technique. I enjoy his blend of organic shapes and typography. This is a necklace I found at Shopbop and I thought would be great to share. Kimberly Baker's Migisi

This bracelet is by Kimberly Baker, a Victorian inspired designer. This piece in particular caught my attention because of the amount of detail involved with it. The feathers overlap each other creating a sense of depth and enhancing the final result.  Kimberly Baker has a flagship store in Seattle Washington, but you can also find it at a number of stores around the world. Fun Wall Decals

Wall decals have been around for a while now but I recently started to see more modern and fun designs. This has become a great way to decorate kid’s rooms too, they are easy to use and you can get new ones when you need a new look. If you are looking to spice up a room be sure to research wall decals as an option. They have everything from abstract contemporary designs, to children themes. My favorite is the chandelier design on the bottom right corner, it’s genius.

New Colorful Journals by Kerry Cassil

Journals are one of those sentimental buys that you always want to buy even if you don’t keep a journal; they make great sketch books or notebooks. These two have a printed topstitch cotton covers and are made by Kerry Cassil. I found both of them at Anthropolgie.

Kurt Ketchum Art Show – Jun 12, 2009

This weekend, Kurt Ketchum’s exhibit will be opening at The Gallery @ Bausch & Lomb Headquarters. Kurt is an artist based in Rochester, NY and I find his work unique and full of energy.

His style is a fusion of urban, graffiti, modern art and other graphic influences. Kurt has shown that numbers and letters can also be artistic and inspiring. His mixed media pieces are my favorite ones and he is open to experiment with new tools and mediums , which allows for his work to continuously evolve.

Kurt Ketchum and his partner Benita Yen founded SMUV Brand and not only are they a blast to work with, but a well oiled creative machine and are always thinking ahead. The best way to describe SMUV Brand is “Graffik Engineering On The Fly” as their website states. Check Kurt’s newest show in Rochester this coming weekend.
