These images are from the Habitat website. Habitat is an United Kingdom company established in 1964, they design and manufacture anything from furniture to kitchen accessories. Every item they make has classic styling and uses beautiful materials. Visit Habitat to learn more.

Analog Clock By Anthony Dickens

The “Around The Clock” design by Anthony Dickens is an out of the box way of telling time. The cylinder rotates while the red line stays in place showing the time in intervals of 15 minutes. The idea behind the clock was to look at time in a more relax way, where seconds are not so crucial any more. Check out more of Anthony Dicken’s design work here.  If you want to purchase this clock you can visit Tweak 99 here.

Clock By Christiann Postma

This is a wall clock that is made with multiple clocks to form the current time. Every hour the needles move to spell the new time. I think this is an extremely complex and creative design for a wall clock. I would consider this a piece of art made to be functional and entertaining. This wonderful piece of work was made by Christiaan Postma, a Sweden based designer who also has made other unique pieces. Visit his website to learn more about Christiann.

Trace Of The Time

Trace Of The Time

Microsoft Outlook, meeting planners, blotters and calendars…  who needs them right?  You might spend some good time in your office setting up meetings and reminders, emailing them out, only to have people ignore or accidentally delete them.  Bummer.  But here’s a new idea on a simple, already existing melt of technologies that can make your meeting “time” a bit more visually aided.  This idea uses an analog clock made from a dry erase face (whiteboard or glass), and an hour hand equipped with the eraser.  You simply write down your quick reminder at the time you need it, and as the hand passes over, you see it erase away. Genius!  Check out the video here and check out the designer here.
