Jewelry at Mini Minimarket. Williamsburg, NY
I just got back from my wonderfully inspirational trip to the city of New York. As always I had to go to visit my old neighborhood, Williamsburg. My first stop was at Mini Minimarket where they sell clothing, accessories, shoes and jewelry. What caught my eye in this shop was the jewelry variety and quality. All these pieces are under $100 and they are great statement pieces. The bicycle pendant is from the Australian label Polli made with recycled brass. The other three pieces are from Brooklyn based Sasha Nash. These and many other great and affordable designers can be found at Mini Minimarket on Bedford Avenue between N 4th and N 5th street in Williamsburg.

Here are my top three favorite looks from Tibi, a brand created in Hong Kong and relocated to New York City after a few years of success, they now have a beautiful flagship store in Soho and their line of women's clothing is available worldwide.

Dana Tanamachi
Graphic Designers around the globe have the ability to shape the way we see brands, places and product. Finding the right name, font, logo and color is one of the most intimidating task when creating a business. I appreciate good graphics and Dana Tanamachi has been added to my list of favorites. Dana is a talented graphic designer who works at Louise Fili Ltd. in New York City but has been doing these custom hand drawn chalk board signs for shops, restaurants and events. Barbara Shaum. New York, NY
Anyone that knows me personally knows my love for leather goods. This studio in the heart of the Lower East Side is the biggest gemstone of my trip to New York. The place is small and unmarked, I just happened to be walking by it and noticed some leather sandals on the display window. I walked in and found the most wonderful leather shop I have ever been in. Barbara Shaum has owned her business for decades and she still runs it successfully.
They handcraft every order of shoes, boots, sandals and bags right in the studio. I felt very lucky to be able to go inside this treasure. The studio is only open from Wednesdays to Saturdays from 1pm to 6pm. I was overwhelmed with Barbara's passion and commitment to keeping it handcrafted and traditional.
If you are interested in shoe making, crafts or leather goods you should stop by to visit Barbara. The shop is located on 60 East Fourth Street in New York.
