Mata Hari x Putucos Bag release! I am so excited to finally announce the release of the Putucos and Mata Hari collaboration. Everyone who reads my blog knows that I have a major addiction to handbags. The creator of the ever growing Mata Hari label offered me the opportunity of a lifetime. To design my own bag for their Fall 2011 collection. This was a very exciting project to work on, I had so much to think about and so many different ideas in my head that I had to narrow it down to my ultimate essential bag. This is my take on one of the oldest forms of handbags, the famous briefcase. This is may way to make a women's briefcase be sophisticated and also stylish. I love the texture of suede in handbags bags, they wear great with time so I knew this had to be part of it. I also wanted to add some vintage inspired hardware on the corners and buckles to add more personality to the bag. Virginia Johnson Totes This is a bag I came across this week on Beklina. The bag was designed by the Canadian Virgina Johnson. The main body of the bag is hand woven chain-stitch in Kashmir and sewn in Canada with leather trims and cotton lining. Liebeskind Handbags Although I love working in the shoe business, designing and developing new styles, I have a crazy obsession for handbags, especially leather bags. I can pass up on shoes at a store but if I see a bag that fits my formula of perfection I have to have it and I will search everywhere for it until I get it. I think my bag collection is twice as big as my shoe collection and I do admit that I am not the type that uses a new bag everyday but I love having my options available for the perfect occasion in my closet. These is my latest find, these beatiful handbags are by Liebeskind and the leather on these beauties just looks gorgeous and super soft. Zoe Shop I am celebrating it's finally Friday! wow, what a crazy week this was. There were cloudy days, beautiful sunny beach weather and lots of work squeezed into what seemed a fast week. I want to start this weekend with a few items that I have been eyeing for the past few days at the Zoe shop online, yes I actually had time for some aspirational shopping too. I like the new interpretation of the traditional leather jacket from Helmut Lang, it is elegant and super clean. The Proenza Schouler bag on the right is one of my favorite totes this season, the leather has a distressed look and the leather trims go perfect together.
