  • The Sketchbook Project. Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The Sketchbook Project. Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This is by far my most exciting find while travelling to the Big Apple. The Art House Co-op is the home to The Sketchbook Project library. Here is a quick way to explain this great source of inspiration, thousands of artists sing up every year, they receive a list of themes and a blank sketchbook, at the end of the assignment everyone returns their sketchbooks and the Art House Co-op sorts them by theme and storage them in a library located in Williamsburg. There were about 10,000 sketchbooks this year and you can stop by to sign a sketchbook out. You can also visit the digital library to enjoy the resources and learn about artists all over the world.  As a designer and avid sketchbook lover, this seems like the perfect way to connect with others and see how every artist views and interprets a theme. They are already planning a world tour where they will take the 2012 sketchbooks on the road for everyone to enjoy. For dates on the tour and to learn how to be one of the sketchbook art...
