Aluminium Urban Living, Causeway Bay
Aluminium Urban Living is a furniture and lighting store also located in Causeway Bay, I usually go by it on my way to some of the other clothing and footwear stores in the area. This store always has modern furniture and interesting decorative pieces. This time I spotted the chandelier on the top right corner, it looks like an frozen chandelier that is melting over. A cool way to add drama to a room.
The other decorative piece I saw were these animal shaped furniture for kid's room or a play room, they are so cute and colorful. The red elephant is made of a flat sheet of hard plastic and is carefully folded from one piece to form the adorable animal. It's simple, functional and creative.

Initial, Causeway Bay
Initial is a wonderful shop located throughout Hong Kong, I usually visit the store off the Causeway Bay station. They carry a wonderful variety of clothing for men and women that feel thoughtful and luxurious. My favorite part of their offering is their leather shoes and bags, they carry simple and very wearable desgins made with super soft and carefully finished leathers.
All of their stores focus on the details when it comes to creating a peaceful and cozy environment.

Bread Talk in Hong Kong
A good shopper also needs to get good fuel. I was on a mission Sunday to visit a list of shopping spots that my friends Annie and Brian recommended. Brian told me about Bread Talk and he mentioned that I would scream of joy. They make all sorts of breads and they are the softest and most delicious bread in Hong Kong.
Bread Talk is located in Silvercord Mall off of the Tsim Sha Tsui subway station.
And yes I screamed of joy!

Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
Sunday was my last day in Hong Kong and I was determined to walk to every single shop on my list. I took the subway to Tsim Sha Tsui and started my day there.
The TST area is full of shops and street vendors. It also has a great mall called Silvercord where I was able to find a good variety of stores and delicious food.
More to come soon on the story about this delicious food.

Chocoolate In Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Next in my trip around Hong Kong was the Chocoolate store in Causeway Bay. This is a great store for basic apparel and accessories. Their colors are consistent every season; navy, black, white, heather grey and polka dots. Their collection is simple and easy to shop. They focus on menswear but they carry a small amount of women's clothing too.
The best part about the store is the attention to detail when it comes to packaging their product and shopping bags. Their shopping bag and packaging are mostly cardboard with a clean black print. Click here to see their collection online. Their prices are affordable and the quality of the fabric is really great.

Dominoes Set By Hermes
Second stop, the Hermes store in Hong Kong. While I was there this small dominoes set caught my eye. The pieces are engraved thin wood chips and it comes in a beautiful leather case. The case is about the size of a business card. A good travel size game but it comes with a $365 price tag, it's a little too much for my taste.

Back From China And Ready For Hong Kong.
I was able to spend Saturday afternoon and the whole day Sunday wondering around in the wonderful Hong Kong. I will take you through my favorite shops and some of other interesteing things I saw on my journey.
First stop was Lane Crawford at the IFC Mall. This mall is enourmous, there are hundreds of stores. Lane Crawford in IFC contains the largest assortment of designers brands in greater China, the store is modern but yet welcoming and cozy. This is a great place for inspiration and to see all of the high end designers' work in one place. Lane Crawford in IFC has the best collection of women's shoes I have ever seen. If you are in Hong Kong, I recomend you make a stop here, take the subway to Central and follow the signs.

Handcrafted goods from China
This is a collection of smaller items that are made in China and make for great gifts. I found clay coasters, mahjong and dominoes game sets that come in a hand made wooden box, bejeweled mirror sets and handcrafted chop sticks.

Welcome to Hong Kong
I have been missing in action the past few days because I have no access to my website from certain places in China. So here is my first posting from China. I landed at the Hong Kong International Airport and I found somethings interesting to write about in the many shops at the airport.
The Hong Kong Airport has the best selection of luxury brands you can ever imagine. From Prada to Tiffany, you name it and they got it! Here are some for the things I found at the airport while I was waiting to leave for China.
Asia is known for their crafts and wood sculptures. Here are some of my favorite ones. The top one is a wooden Buddha, this one is about two feet tall. What caught my attention was the natural color of the wood and the visible growth rings. The bottom object is a clay sculpture which is about three feet tall. Because it is made with clay there is the addition of textural difference. There are different patterns combined to make an interesting realistic piece....
