Brookfarm General Store
Brookfarm General Store has always been a favorite of mine. They carry thoughtful home goods that will remind you of simpler times and their neutral colors make the perfect gift for any home. This charming shop is in Williamsburg, Brooklyn but you can always shop online and get a great variety of products from the comfort of your home. This is a great place to get a housewarming gift or for any other special occasion. I selected some of my favorite ones here, this light cotton scarf looks super cozy and is a great every day accessory. The linen trays are a great accent for a coffee table and it has an unexpected texture and color to it with the striped linen inlay. Finally I also added a beautiful leather dog collar, the richness of the leather and the simplicity of the construction caught my eye, I know this would be a great dog lover gift.

These mugs always bring a smile to my face, they are fun and very simple. There is one for every one's style, they've got bow ties or different mustaches on each side. These are not only very useful for the much needed morning coffee or tea at the office but a great way to reduce the use of paper cups, so get a new mug and save the paper cups! These cups are designed by Peter Ibruegger who is based in the UK. If you want to see more of Peter's work click here.

Claydies
Since we are in the topic of tableware and ceramics this week I want to bring up another phenomenal place for original ceramics pieces. These are from the danish group, Claydies. I am pretty sure this is the first time you see at least one of these bowls, they are original and look super fun. Claydies is the creation of Karen and Tine, and their work has been part of the reknown Normann Copenhagen collective. If you remember the grass vases I posted here last July you will see the common styling thread of Claydies. They just love to have fun with clay and we all get to enjoy their passion. For more of Claydies' work click here.

The pocket knife on the bottom left has a very classy Brazilian Rosewood handle and brass inlay. Tapi by Dreamfarm
Check this handy little product my friend Emi told me about. It's called the Tapi and it is made by Dreamfarm in Australia. This dishwasher rubber piece allows people to drink water straight from the tap without using cups. This can be particularly useful for kids when they brush their teeth. The rubber piece fits almost all taps with straight spout.
I love the simple design and the many uses for this compact product. I'll add it to my wishlist and I'm sure somebody you know somebody who would enjoy this handy little design. For more inventive ideas from Dreamfarm click here.
