RiK Stool This stool reminds me of my time spent in the model making studio when I went to school for Industrial Design at RIT. I remember the day I found out about the vacuum former and I remember thinking the infinite possibilities! It was so much fun to see how each sheet would turn into a 3D product with the touch of a button. When I saw this stool online this week, I was so happy to see the perfect blend of wood and plastic together to support a functional piece of furniture. I don't know a lot about the designers behind this project but I think they are from a school in Israel. Alada Gold Winged Teacup Set From Estudio Manus I had to share this super unique tea set because I know some of you would appreciate it just as much as me. The gold wings add a little pop of fun while also making it very charming. The set includes 2 cups, 2 saucers made with 100% porcelain and 18K gold leaf wings. FieldCandy Super Fun Tents I hope your plans of 4th of July include fresh air, some outdoor activities and maybe even a fun night of camping. I found these tents and couldn't resist. How cool would it be to bring this super fun tent at your next camping trip or even camping party. Brookfarm General Store Brookfarm General Store has always been a favorite of mine. They carry thoughtful home goods that will remind you of simpler times and their neutral colors make the perfect gift for any home. This charming shop is in Williamsburg, Brooklyn but you can always shop online and get a great variety of products from the comfort of your home. This is a great place to get a housewarming gift or for any other special occasion. I selected some of my favorite ones here, this light cotton scarf looks super cozy and is a great every day accessory. The linen trays are a great accent for a coffee table and it has an unexpected texture and color to it with the striped linen inlay. Finally I also added a beautiful leather dog collar, the richness of the leather and the simplicity of the construction caught my eye, I know this would be a great dog lover gift.
Jonathan Adler Mugs Jonathan Adler is always coming out with fantastic pattern designs, bright color palettes and fun home accessories. These mugs are my favorite ones from this season. You can never go wrong with any of Jonathan Adler's work, everything in his store makes me want to smile and feel right at home. Jonathan Adler is my inspiration and his creativity is funky fun! The Cross Decor and Design, Vancouver Canada On my trip to Vancouver last year I came across a store called The Cross Decor and Design right on the corner of Homer and Davie St. This shop has a large variety of home goods and accessories, it's beautifully decorated and if you check online you can see an even larger range of furniture. They are known for their choice of bold colors and classic design. They carry all those pieces that will make a loud and stylish statement in your home. Ary’s folk striped plate by Asta Barrington These beautiful and festive trays were design by Asta Barrington for Ary. Asta has designed fabrics for Mathew Williamson as well as Marni, she also has developed her own line of embroidered scarves which you can see here. These printed birchwood trays display her design on home accessory pieces for the first time. The kaleidoscopic inspired design and the combination of vibrant colors make this a great addition to anyone's kitchen. Scandinavian House, Williamsburg, NYC My last and most exciting stop in Williamsburg was the Scandinavian Design House. I found this home accessories shop on my last trip to NYC and I knew this was a place I wanted to come back to check out again. Scandinavian Design House is a piece of heaven for any party host. This shop is filled with bright colored home accents, dishware and unique cooking tools. This is also a great place to get inspiration for contemporary patterns and color combinations. Everything in the shop is from Scandinavian designers, which mean everything is thoughtful, with clean design lines and filled with fun details. This shop was made to make your home and better place. Task in Williamsburg. Brooklyn, NY Task is a fairly new shop located on North 3rd street between Berry St. and Wythe ave. in Williamsburg. This shop wins "The Most Welcoming Shop" award in Williamsburg from Putucos. The selection of homegoods, jewelry and clothing is elegant and contemporary. Shopping for a gift for mother's days or x-mas doesn't have to be so intimidating anymore, Task has the exactly what you need when if comes to gift shopping. I highly recommend everyone to stop by Task and I'm sure you are going to find something you want for yourself or a loved one. Finally, for all the out of town readers you can shop online!
Whisk. Williamsburg, New York. Here is another discovery since my last trip to NYC. Whisk is a beautiful, french inspired, kitchenwear shop on Bedford Avenue. They carry the classic and contemporary brands of cookware, bakeware, dinnerware, accessories and linens. This shop is whimsical and it makes you want to cook and have friends over for dinner. This is the only kitchen specialty store in Northside Williamsburg which makes it even more unique. The shop is filled with colorful pieces and lucky for people out of town we can all shop online at Whisknyc.com. If you are visiting New York I highly recommend you visit Whisk for your cooking and hosting needs. Whisk is located on Bedford Avenue between N 3rd and N 4th Street. Berstein & Gold. Vancouver, Canada This shop was such a fun treasure sitting in the middle of Yaletown, Vancouver. Berstain and Gold is a one stop boutique when it comes to interior decoration. They carry those items that makes a home unique and this is also the perfect place to find and unforgettable and original gift for friends and family. This was great shop that left me inspired to get creative at home. If you go to Vancouver you have to make stop at Berstein and Gold Interiors, I know you won't leave disappointed.
Old Faithful Shop. Vancouver, Canada. Last week I decided it was time to visit the beautiful city of Vancouver in Canada. The city was just as I remembered it, filled with the nicest people, fantastic food and the greatest shops. I biked my way through the city to get an idea of the place before I walked it and as soon as I biked by Gastown I knew I had to go back to take a better look at some of the shops in the area. This is one my most favorite shop in Vancouver, the Old Faithful Shop had a great selection of products, an inspirational industrial decor and best of all the most welcoming staff. I could have stayed in the shop for another hour looking at all their product. I wished we had something like this right in Orange County, California.
