This is why Industrial Design is so fun and inspiring. Here is a design firm that makes a wide variety of products and they all carry a consistent sophisticated look. Clean and functional design that makes your home a better place. These are all from Side By Side, a German based company founded in 2001. When it comes to eclectic interior design Bokja is the first thing that comes to mind. They combine the most beautiful and traditional furniture design with bright colored fabrics. Bokja is a lead by a female duo based in Beirut. The pair shares a love for vintage furniture and ancient textile and tapestries. The Selby and Phillippe Stark

Have you ever wondered what Phillippe Stark’s home is like? Stark is one of the most famous product designers alive and his work is everywhere from living rooms to kitchens to accessories. I always wondered, where does one live if one’s sense of style is so clear and strong?

The Selby, a photographer known for his portrait series of people in their own space, got to shoot Stark and his wife Jasmine in their house in Paris. Now you can see what their space is like and how he uses all sort of random items to spark creativity and keep his brain going. Marimekko Joy!

Today is the perfect day to look at beautiful patterns and great use of colors. The Finland based design house Marimekko has one of the best collections of home goods. They are super playful and filled with bright colors. These are some of my favorite patterns in the bedding and fabric line, but they make so many other things that you need to see their site to enjoy it all.

The best part of it all is that Vertigo Home in Laguna Beach, California has the newly released Marimekko wallpaper collection. Each one includes their usual great designs and versatile colors. Happy Monday!. I found Bholu and immediately felt in love with their stuff animals and wall paper designs. Aren’t these monkeys, frogs and elephants the most adorable thing ever? I love the simplicity and the idea behind it. They create beautiful products for your home while benefiting communities in need. Each piece is individually hand embroidered by a traditional artisan in rural communities of India, and part of the proceeds goes to Bholu Anganwadi Project which has now built a total of 8 pre schools in underprivileged communities. I love the work they do and the playful look to they stuffed animals. Check out their whole collection here.
