This stool reminds me of my time spent in the model making studio when I went to school for Industrial Design at RIT. I remember the day I found out about the vacuum former and I remember thinking the infinite possibilities! It was so much fun to see how each sheet would turn into a 3D product with the touch of a button.
When I saw this stool online this week, I was so happy to see the perfect blend of wood and plastic together to support a functional piece of furniture. I don’t know a lot about the designers behind this project but I think they are from a school in Israel. For more information about this project and for a video on how this is made you can click here.
