Pressed Chairs by Harry Thaler
The best part of going to school for Industrial design was working on projects that really impacted the way factories made product and efficient ways to save on time and materials. Harry Thaler worked on this project which he called the “Pressed Chair”. This is a light weight and stackable aluminum chair. The metal sheets pressed are only 2.5mm thick. This design bypasses any assembly of components or the use of different materials. Everything is made with one sheet of aluminum and the is no waste in the manufacturing process. If for some reason you don’t want this chair anymore, it’s 100% recyclable! this is a wonderful piece or work. To see more his designs click here.
